The Stockroom Helper will be responsible for the kitting, preparation, verification, packaging, receiving and shipping of goods for Materials distribution. This person will report to the Sr. Manufacturing Manager.
Responsibilities
- Package goods according to selected carrier specifications and quality standards
- Perform the data entry duties either on the system or hand-held bar code device related to the receiving of materials, supplies and equipment including verify goods against receiving documents and authorizations, i.e. packing slips and return material authorizations
- Handle material with Certificates of Compliance for inspection
- WIP receive material from the production floor or work orders
- Perform daily cycle counts
- Pull material for kits, shortages, work orders and/or shippers
- Create repair work order for non-conforming material from production and update work orders notes with parts being replaced
- Put away stock from receiving, airfreight, sea freight, and shop
- Update the system with the location for any material returned to stock
- Process all carrier shipments – UPS, Federal Express, DHL or common carriers
- Process all COD shipments using UPS, Federal Express, DHL, will call or common carriers
- Maintain warehouse equipment including but not limited to printers, tape dispensers, fork-lift, and Insta-Pak machines
- Maintain order and organization of the work area including compacting boxes
- Maintain necessary files and documentation
- Follows procedures as established in ELMA’s quality manual
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- 3-5 years related warehouse experience in a production environment
- PC literate with experience in MS Word, Excel and database programs
- Good communication skills
- Organization and interpersonal skills
- Forklift certification preferred
