POSITION SUMMARY
The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for managing payroll-related functions, ensuring accurate and timely compensation for employees. Your role will involve processing timesheets, updating payroll records, coordinating with HR on payroll changes, and handling employee inquiries regarding payments.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Process attendance records, timesheets, and other relevant documents, including W-2 and tax forms.

Completes tax registration for all states employees work and reside in.

Verify payroll information for accuracy and ensure all necessary paperwork is complete.

Coordinate with HR regarding payroll changes due to terminations, new hires, or other adjustments.

Oversee electronic payments and distribution of payroll checks.

Update payroll data with salary or wage adjustments as required.

Process other financial compensations or deductions, such as annual bonuses, severance pay, taxes, and worker's compensation.

Manage benefit expenses, including insurance fees and paid leave with HR coordination.

Generate reports for upper management upon request.

Address employee questions or complaints regarding salaries and payments and makes adjustments and increases to salaries as need when approved by management.

Collaborate with authorities, such as the IRS, on audits or requests.

Performs additional duties as assigned.
SPECIFIC EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE:

Proven experience as a payroll coordinator or similar role.

Familiarity with payroll processes and legislation relevant to accounting and payroll (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley Act, FLSA).

Working knowledge of payroll systems such as Oracle or Kronos.

Comfortable with Excel for functions and data management.

Analytical mindset with strong math skills.

Excellent attention to detail.
