What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Baseball Coach-Pitching position at Elms College?
Elms College located in Chicopee, MA is seeking a baseball Pitching Coach. Under the general supervision of the Director of Athletics, the Pitching Coach will report to the head coach and assist in leading all aspects of an NCAA Division III baseball program. Responsibilities include working with pitchers, leading drills, off campus recruiting, on field practice / game responsibilities as assigned, and social media networking.
Essential functions may include : game / practice planning; skills / position coach –recruiting coordination, planning, and scouting. Additionally, office hours will be required as determined by the head coach during the spring semester to complete such tasks as : inputting statistical game / practice data, individual player meetings, travel and meal prep, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven ability to relate to student athletes, academic community, student body, off-campus constituents, professional colleagues and the general public.
- Proven administrative, organizational and recruiting skills.
- Proven effective teaching methods.
- Ability to use computer software and standard office equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record are required.
- CPR, First Aid and AED Certification required.
