ELO is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Tax Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will manage various tax compliance and advisory tasks, ensure adherence to tax laws and regulations, and provide exceptional client service. This position requires a strong understanding of tax concepts, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities :
Tax Execution
- Possess advanced accounting skills used to analyze client information
- Prepare high-level tax returns and work papers with an advisory mindset
- Apply knowledge of tax regulations and ensure tax compliance
- Prepare and analyze planning estimates to maximize tax benefits
- Assess and research complex tax issues and identify solutions for clients
- Prepare correspondence for submission to the IRS and other tax authorities via mail or phone
Client Interactions
Meet with clients in person or via phone / virtual communicationsProvide client support and assistance for tax and accounting-related itemsManage and maintain strong client relationshipsExamine opportunities for additional client service and ongoing supportDocumentation & Reporting
Prepare tax work papers in compliance with firm standards, using various software and programsPrepare accounting-related reportsKeep thorough records for other preparers and reviewersTeam Collaboration
Work with tax team to ensure various tax processes are being performedAssist with overall tax workload, including preparation for tax managers and partners and review for junior associates and internsComply with internal processes and procedures to maintain efficienciesPromote inter-office work and positive interactions among team membersProfessional Development
Attend professional development and training courses to improve knowledge baseKeep up to date with current tax laws and regulations and monitor industry trendsMaintain minimum CPE requirementsQualifications :
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field. A master’s degree in public accounting is a plus.CPA certification or progress toward obtaining a CPA is highly desirable.3 years of experience in public accounting or a related field, focusing on tax services.Highly proficient in the MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.). Familiarity with accounting software is required, and experience with UltraTax is preferred.Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.Adaptability and a commitment to flexibility in a constantly changing professional environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide precise and impactful feedback to clients and team members.Why Join ELO?
