Job Overview
EloRose Diagnostic Ultrasound is a direct-pay, patient-centered ultrasound clinic that provides high-quality diagnostic and elective imaging services in a warm and supportive environment. We specialize in vascular, abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts, and elective prenatal ultrasounds, offering an alternative to hospital-based imaging with affordable pricing and short wait times.
We are looking for a skilled and independent Sonographer who is passionate about patient care and able to perform high-quality imaging with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams in accordance with physician orders and best practices
- Specialize in vascular ultrasound, with additional experience in abdomen, OB/GYN, and small parts preferred
- Review requisitions to understand patient history and adapt imaging as necessary
- Evaluate images for technical quality, ensuring proper protocols and patient identification
- Use independent judgment to identify normal and abnormal findings and perform additional imaging when needed
- Ensure patient comfort and clear communication, providing instructions before, during, and after exams
- Maintain accurate patient records in the Radiology Information System (RIS)
- Assist with training new staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure a clean, organized work environment
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with radiologists, referring providers, and team members
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program
- ARDMS certification in the appropriate specialty(ies)
- MUST have vascular ultrasound experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Compliance with CME (Continuing Medical Education) requirements
- Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent bedside manner and communication skills
- Strong skills in medical imaging techniques with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
