Our client, a reputable Commercial General Contractor in Austin, is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead ground-up K-12, Entertainment, Office and Healthcare projects. Project Manager- Key Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Oversee multiple ground-up commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final completion.
- Budget & Cost Control: Develop and manage project budgets, cost estimates, and financial forecasts, ensuring projects stay within budget.
- Scheduling & Logistics: Create and maintain detailed project schedules, proactively addressing potential delays.
- Subcontractor & Vendor Management: Solicit bids, negotiate contracts, and oversee subcontractors and suppliers to ensure quality work and adherence to project timelines.
- Client & Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, and consultants, ensuring alignment on project goals.
- Quality & Compliance: Enforce high construction standards, ensuring work is performed according to specifications, drawings, and local building codes.
- Safety Management: Maintain a strong safety culture, enforcing OSHA and company safety policies on-site.
- Risk Management & Problem Solving: Identify project risks early and implement strategic solutions to mitigate potential issues.
- Contract & Documentation Oversight: Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and all necessary project documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Team Development: Mentor and guide Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and field teams to foster a culture of learning and professional growth.
- Closeout & Turnover: Ensure successful project closeout by overseeing punch list completion, final inspections, and owner handover.
Project Manager- Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager overseeing ground-up commercial construction projects.
- Strong tenures at previous companies β we value long-term commitment and stability.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, scheduling tools, and cost management software.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
