Senior Accountant – Commercial General Contractor | North Houston
A well-established Commercial General Contractor in North Houston is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee and manage key financial operations. This role requires expertise in Foundation and QuickBooks Pro accounting software, along with a strong understanding of AP, AR, payroll, and tax compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Manage all Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), including preparing reports for review
✅ Complete pay applications in collaboration with the project management team
✅ Oversee bank transactions, deposits, withdrawals, and maintain bank journals
✅ Process weekly payroll, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with child support funding requirements
✅ Work closely with insurance consultants on business and employee insurance matters
✅ Assist in subcontract preparation and documentation with project management
✅ Handle expense reporting, reconciliation, and project budget updates
✅ Maintain employee PTO records, salary, and bonus updates
✅ Ensure timely filing and payment of local, state, and federal taxes
✅ Deposit 401(k) funds after each payroll cycle
✅ Manage new hire paperwork and track insurance certificates for projects
Requirements:
