Salary Range: $200,000 - $285,000 (DOE)

Position Overview:

The Vice President of Construction will be a key member of the executive team, overseeing all aspects of construction operations. This includes managing the execution of multiple high-profile commercial, medical, and educational projects, from planning through to completion. The role demands a strategic leader who can balance the operational complexities of large-scale projects with a commitment to maintaining safety, quality, and cost control. This position offers significant leadership responsibility and the opportunity to shape the future of the company.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight: Lead the successful execution of multiple high-rise commercial, medical, and educational projects, ensuring they meet budget, schedule, and quality standards.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a diverse team of project managers, site supervisors, and construction professionals.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors, and key stakeholders, acting as the face of the company on major projects.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with executive leadership to align construction goals with company objectives, driving growth and operational efficiency.
  • Quality & Safety: Ensure all projects comply with safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices.
  • Budget & Resource Management: Oversee project budgets, cost controls, and resource allocation, making adjustments as necessary to ensure profitability.
  • Innovation & Process Improvement: Implement best practices in construction management, including Lean Construction, to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance project outcomes.


Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience: 10 years of experience in construction management with a proven track record in high-rise commercial, medical, or educational projects.
  • Leadership: A minimum of 5 years of senior leadership experience, managing cross-functional teams and multiple concurrent projects.
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the construction lifecycle, including contracts, cost management, scheduling, and construction methodologies.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Buildertrend).
  • Certifications: PMP, LEED, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
