What are the responsibilities and job description for the Executive Assistant position at Elster & McGrady?
We bring concierge-level service to our clients combining big law experience with boutique rates. It isn't surprising that we continue to grow. We want to keep up within new client inbound demand, but we won't compromise quality and client experience. So, we are looking to add an Executive Assistant who can keep our Nashville-based partner organized and on-task.
Responsibilities
- Manage scheduling and prioritization of workflow
- Draft, review and send communications, for example, engagement letters, billing reminders, etc.
- Organize and prepare for meetings, including gathering documents, drafting slide decks, and attending to logistics of meetings
- Answer and respond to phone calls, communicate messages and information
- Prioritize, file, and curate emails and respond when necessary
- Coordinate travel arrangements and social events
- Manage billing function
- Run errands
- Stay ahead of client maintenance tasks
- Maintain various records and documents
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience with a track record of increasing responsibility
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Time-management skills
- Ability to pay attention to detail
- Organization skills
- Ability to multitask
- Interpersonal skills
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite of products. Strong preference for experience using Clio.
Other Data Points
- This is an in-person role in Nashville in our Music Row location. In-person is part of our culture, and we won't be considering changes to our culture, even if you are otherwise the perfect candidate.
- This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.
- While you will work with others in the firm as needed to accomplish goals, you will report to the Nashville-based partner.
- You will be learning a law practice so that you are more effective in assisting the partner.
- Occasional travel may be required (rare).
