Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee the construction of St. Jude Tower #2 in Memphis, TN. This role requires a strong background in vertical construction, with experience managing large-scale commercial projects such as mid-rise, high-rise, data centers, or distribution centers.
The client, a leading nationwide provider of commercial construction services, has a strong presence across North America with 28 offices, offering ample opportunities for career growth.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage large-scale vertical construction projects from inception to completion.
- Ensure project goals are met in terms of scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
- Organize and coordinate project teams to achieve milestones efficiently.
- Implement and oversee BIM, Primavera, Excel, Word, and MS Project for project planning and execution.
- Manage contract negotiations and represent the company with owners, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety, regulatory compliance, and quality control measures.
- Lead problem-solving efforts, ensuring proactive resolution of project challenges.
- Provide detailed reporting on project progress, budget control, and resource allocation.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 10 years of relevant experience in vertical construction.
- Experience managing large commercial projects ($20M in value).
- 5-10 years of commercial construction management experience.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong working knowledge of BIM, Primavera, Excel, Word, and MS Project.
- A well-rounded knowledge of construction disciplines with hands-on management experience.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Effective contract management and ability to represent the company with owners.
