Safety & Compliance Coordinator Details :
Contract to Hire position
hour
First Shift (Monday through Friday from 10 : 00am to 07 : 00pm)
Responsible for identifying and assessing areas of compliance risk; assisting in setting ethical principles; developing and implementing education programs in compliance and safety.
Maintain compliance with OSHA and Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) legal requirements, while ensuring barrier-free trade, establishing effective internal controls to protect the company, optimizing trade performance, and reducing costs.
Responsible for FTZ and safety training and skill assessment to include on-boarding training and orientation, remedial training, and maintaining compliance with regulations.
Safety & Compliance Coordinator Qualifications :
Must be able to convey information effectively in writing, presentations or speeches.
Strong, ambitious, motivated team player, with attention to detail and concern of importance.
Ability to manage multiple projects with minimum direction and strong time management skills.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, etc.
Knowledge of OSHA and DOT rules and regulations.
Two to five years of experience working in, or with manufacturing based FTZ operations, Customs and Import Laws and Regulations and working with and communicating with Customs and Border Protection, and other government agencies.
