Shipping Clerk

Details :
Temp-to-Hire position
to $ / hour
Full Time work available
First Shift (Monday through Friday from 07 : 00am to 03 : 30pm)
Responsible for routing outbound freight to assure delivery as required; monitors carriers performance.
Maintains shipping and receiving logs and maintains files of shipping records.
Processes loss freight or shipping damages claims. Verifies freight bills with accounting and resolves errors with carriers.
Takes finished orders after final quality control inspection and wraps and packs in containers as per required standards.
Prepares packing lists, bills of lading, and other shipping documentation as necessary.
Supervises loading and unloading of all delivery trucks.

Qualifications :
1-3 years’ experience with shipping environment is preferred, but will train on their system
High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent organizational skills
Computer and math skills
High attention to detail
Sitting or standing for long periods of time
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
