What are the responsibilities and job description for the Database Administrator (Senior) position at ELYON International?
Database Administrator (DBA) Resources are responsible for the administration and maintenance of the organization's database platforms. They use established database standards, procedures, and processes to ensure that systems are healthy and functional. They build and execute scripts to modify data in organizational databases. A DBA develops and maintains highly available databases, including physical dictionaries and data models, and implements changes and performance enhancements. DBA Resources may access Federal Tax Information. Background checks required, per IRS Publication 1075, apply.
EXPERIENCE (MANDATORY) :
- Experience with Database Server Performance and Optimization tools.
- Experience managing database backup, restore and data archiving tasks.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server security best practices.
- Advanced knowledge of AlwaysOn, Transactional Replication, Clustering and T-SQL.
- Experience with implementing database upgrades.
- Experience with Database PAAS solutions in a cloud solution.
- Experience with CI CD process and setup from database end.
- Scripting knowledge for automating day to day tasks (Shell script, Power shell).
- Knowledge of Azure Data Factory.
- Knowledge of ETL data warehouse architecture.
- Working experience on CDC tools & replication.
- Installs, Patches, upgrades, and maintains the system health

Bachelor's Degree - 1 year
LOCATION (REMOTE)
Most work is done remotely. However, certain Work Orders may require the Resource to work on-site at 810 Jefferson Street SE, Olympia WA.
