Job Title: Field Applications Engineer
Reports to: Applications Engineer Team Lead
Travel: Visit clients when required (ranges from 0% to 20% of the time)
Summary: Provide consulting, implementation, education and technical support of EMA Design Automation PCB Design products such as OrCAD and Cadence. Act as an integral technical resource for sales, product development and Marketing teams; will be promoting business by webinars, videos, newsletter articles, and tradeshows.
· Encourage strategic relationships with clients and support software pre-sales by providing product demonstrations
o Provide access to design tools along with supporting materials
o Support customers in their installation and evaluation of the software products
o Implement custom solutions to customer’s requirements
o Deliver online or onsite customer training
o Work with the clients to ensure success of their designs
· Provide clear and accurate external & internal reporting
· Develop pre-sales training material and co-develop sales strategies
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in PCB Board Design with 1 to 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Required:
o Experience with designing Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs)
o Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills
o Strong Mathematics and Reasoning ability
· Beneficial:
o Electrical Engineering background
§ Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university
o Field Applications Engineering (FAE) experience
o Proficient with computer programs such as Cadence’s OrCAD or Allegro, CIS/CIP, CircuitSpace, ECAD Library development tools; Microsoft Office; Windows 11
Physical Demands:
