Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Overnight Janitor/Security person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and facilities maintenance, with a focus on both industrial and commercial settings. The position is responsible for patrolling guest corridors and ensure quiet time is enforced at 10pm. The position is responsible for ensuring any noise complaints are addressed and no minors are in the public space after 11pm.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained and presentable.
- Carry out custodial duties in various environments including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies to maintain a safe environment.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and report when restocking is necessary.
- Adhere to safety protocols while performing cleaning tasks to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in industrial or commercial cleaning is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina: ability to lift and move items as needed during cleaning tasks.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential for success in this role.
