Our hotel is located near the Friendship Heights Metro Station, offering easy access to attractions such as the National Cathedral, American University, and Bethesda Row's shops and dining. We're also close to Walter Reed Medical Center.
Overview
We're seeking an additional Human Resources Manager for Highgate in the DC market due to growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for various HR functions, including filling hourly positions, accurate completion of paperwork, understanding and enforcing company policies, and assisting with benefits and workmen's compensation duties.
Responsibilities
- Administer insurance benefits, calculate billing totals, explain benefits, and assist with enrollment forms.
- Compile review lists and distribute to departments, Turnover Reports, and new hire/termination logs.
- Enter payroll information, conduct prescreening interviews, respond to unemployment claims, and maintain Leave of Absence logs.
- Monitor Workman's Compensation claims, complete injury reports, and answer questions regarding 401K Plans, vacation, and benefits.
- Maintain advertising logs, process recruitment materials, and prepare Highgate Hotel Orientations.
- Become certified trainer in all HR training modules and ensure compliance with HR SOPs.
Qualifications
We require at least 1 year of progressive HR experience in a hotel or related industry, with supervisory responsibility preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with effective communication skills, multitasking abilities, and a warm and friendly demeanor.
