Front Office Manager is responsible for overseeing all front office operations to insure profitability, control costs and quality standards ensuring total guest satisfaction. A combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities is required. A minimum of two years experience as an assistant front office manager and a college degree, or equivalent, is preferred.
Strong communication skills and a desire to support and serve others are both critical. Familiarity with OPERA, Microsoft Office programs and general computer proficiency are necessary. Position supervises a team up to 20, including bellstaff, concierge, front desk agents, operators and security.
What you will be doing
- Develops and implements strategies for the Front Office Representatives, Bellstaff & Night Auditors. that support achievement of the hotel's goals as well as processes and procedures which support achievement of service and financial goals
- Analyzes business forecasts and schedules accordingly
- Ensures front desk handles billing and cash in accordance with hotel's standards
- Plans and coordinates hotel housing activities by working closely with Sales, Catering, Housekeeping and other departments
- Develops and implements strategies and practices which support employee engagement
The ideal candidate for this position
Position Requirements:
- Education/Experience equivalent to a 4 year college degree, preferably in hospitality/hotel management.
- 3-5 years experience in front office.
- Previous lead/supervisory experience required.
