Job Description:
- Use proper dog handling techniques as instructed by manual and training
- Integrate enrichment activities (frozen treats, hide and seek, scent engagement, etc.)
- Clean, prep, and provide basic animal husbandry skills
- Leash walk pets for elimination with ability to document, record, and report findings.
- Provide pictures/video updates of pet daycare or boarding to owners and employer through provided software.
- Communicate clearly with owners and provide a positive and inviting environment
- Report any unusual behaviors, injuries, or critical information to management and veterinary services if applicable.
Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills
- True passion for working with animals
- Comfortable working in all-weather conditions; will be exposed to pool water
- Experience in a boarding/day-camp setting preferred
- Reliable and flexible to resort schedule needs including days, night, weekends, and holidays.
- Able to learn to work with and handle a variety of sizes and breeds of dogs.
- Ability to receive instructions and remain adaptive to change and training material
