Our growing studio in Orange, CA, is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and proactive Construction/Fixed Asset Accountant to join our team. This role offers the unique opportunity to contribute to the financial backbone of a multi-million-dollar build-out, enabling the creation of cutting-edge gaming experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee fixed asset accounting for a multi-million-dollar facility build-out, including acquisition tracking, capitalization, depreciation, and write-offs.
- Partner with outside vendors to manage documentation, deliverables tracking and reconciliation of invoices to estimates ensuring accuracy and alignment with budgets.
- Track project costs, budgets, and timelines, providing regular updates to internal stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain fixed asset schedules and reports to support financial statements and tax preparation.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP standards.
- Assist with capitalization study and create forecasts to guide strategic decisions.
- Continuously improve processes for tracking and reporting construction and fixed asset activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 35 years of experience in accounting, ideally within construction or capital-intensive industries.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working with outside vendors is preferred.
- Knowledge of GAAP and fixed asset accounting principles.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Compensation:$100,000$120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
