To be a successful Adoption Supervisor you must become able to do the following always:
- Ensure a trauma informed focus on creating a safe and supportive environment for staff and those served through knowledge, sensitivity, respect, and a focus on resilience and recovery.
- ?Provide direct supervision and support of supervisees utilizing the Company model for supervision, Supervision for Success.
- Collaborate with permanency services teams on adoption needs.
- Track and report timely permanency through adoption. Partner with the Quality Improvement Department on meeting internal goals and state outcomes related to adoption.
- Ensure case activity logs and documentation requirements are following EmberHope policies and procedures and Department of Children and Families (DCF) standards.
- Work with Adoption Case Managers on transition planning and aid when caregivers are dealing with the emotional aspects of the transition.
- Partner with the Data Services Department on the Electronic Health Record (EHR) processes and workflows.
- Responsible for a documented analysis of adoption obstacles, disruptions and dissolutions which addresses trends and action to address improvements. Work with the adoption team on addressing adoption barriers.
- Review and approve required documents and reports as needed.
- Follow Company Policy and Procedure and operate according to the Company’s Program Practice Guidelines.
- Participate in supervisory on-call rotation

To qualify for this job, you need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree, license required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Two years adoption case management practice experience.
- 21 years of age. Must pass a background check, fingerprinting, and physical and drug screening.
- Maintain company-required training.
- Physical working requirements - Ability to travel, driving company or personal vehicle including at night. Ability to do occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. Able to walk stairs. Ability to work flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends. Employees are subject to outside environmental conditions occasionally, inside conditions frequently, with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change.
