To be a successful TDM Facilitator you must become able to do the following always:
- Ensure a trauma informed focus on creating a safe and supportive environment for staff and those served through knowledge, sensitivity, respect, and a focus on resilience and recovery.
- Facilitate time-limited, outcome-focused meetings that include family, extended family, caregivers, community representatives, service providers, and company staff.
- Guide meeting participants through a structured, six-stage process that includes discussion of concerns, identification of strengths, and development of ideas and seek consensus regarding the least restrictive, best possible placement-related decision.
- Provide support to family members, assigned workers, and others to achieve honest, respectful, and constructive meetings.
- Chart meeting content accurately and share a written summary with participants at the end of each meeting.
- Provide timely documentation of meetings in the TDM database and participate in regular self-evaluation of the TDM meeting process.
- Provide regular feedback to leadership and be an advocate for system improvements that support best practice and policy development.
- Follow Company Policy and Procedure and operate according to the Company’s Program Practice Guidelines.

- 20% Documentation
To qualify for this job, you need to have:
- High School or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience and demonstrated excellence in frontline child protective services in intake, investigations, or family services.
- Ability to model professional interactions and respectfully lead diverse groups toward resolution in an emotionally charged environment.
- 21 years of age. Must pass a background check, fingerprinting, and physical and drug screening.
- Maintain company-required training.
- Must be detail oriented
- Must have excellent customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
- Ability to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with computer skills including knowledge of spreadsheets, data entry
- Ability to problem solve, while also having the ability to ask questions when necessary
- Ability to use discretion in decision making
- Ability to maintain neutrality while facilitating meetings
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage emotions and make decisions under pressure.
- Effectively work alone and with team members
- Physical working requirements - Ability to travel, drive company or personal vehicle including at night. Ability do occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. Able to walk stairs. Ability to work flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends to meet families and worker’s needs. Employees are subject to outside environmental conditions occasionally, inside conditions frequently, with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change.
