To be a successful Director of Permanency Services you must become able to do the following always:
- Ensure a trauma informed focus on creating a safe and supportive environment for staff and those served through knowledge, sensitivity, respect, and a focus on resilience and recovery.
- Direct and supervise Team Supervisors for the Permanency Services for the catchment area to ensure safe, timely, and quality services are delivered to children and families.
- Provide direct supervision and support of supervisees utilizing the Company’s model for supervision, Supervision for Success.
- Ensure service providers are appropriately responsive to children and families, Department of Children and Families (DCF), courts, and other stakeholders. Ensure that the contract receives needed community resources for children and families.
- Collaborate with DCF, participate in policy formulation, and audits, and ensure two-way communication occurs between teams, other agency departments and programs, and outside agencies.
- Ensure the services meet projected contract expectations and outcomes. Facilitate continuous performance improvement processes.
- Ensure the budget is met by monitoring the usage of financial resources. Ensure the department operates within budget and is consistent with policies.
- Work with the Quality Improvement Department to support the team’s compliance with policies, contract requirements, accreditation standards, government mandates, and professional ethics. Oversee the functions related to quality assurance, utilization review, and performance improvement functions; ensure the proper documentation of services is provided,
- Ensure that the mental health needs of all clients are appropriately assessed and are provided.
- Follow Company Policy and Procedure and operate according to the Company’s Program Practice Guidelines.
- Crisis support for permanency department.

To qualify for this job, you need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Licensure Requirements - Current licensure in the field of study (LMSW, LSCSW, LMFT, LCMFT, LMLP, LPC, LCPC)
- Work Experience - At least 3 years of work experience with child assessment and treatment, including children and adolescents with SED, preferably in a mental health or child welfare setting. Supervisory experience required.
- 21 years of age. Must pass a background check, fingerprinting, and physical and drug screening.
- Maintain company-required training.
- Physical Working Conditions - Ability to travel, drive company or personal vehicle including at night. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends. An employee is subject to outside environmental conditions occasionally, inside conditions frequently, with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change.
