Responsibilities:
- Educate and empower youth by providing information on available resources, programs, and services
- Conduct individual assessments to identify the needs and goals of each youth
- Help to develop personalized action plans to address the specific needs of each youth
- Provide counseling and support to youth struggling with addiction or other challenges
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers and counselors, to ensure comprehensive care for youth
- Serve as a mentor and positive role model for youth, offering guidance and encouragement
- Advocate for the rights and well-being of youth within the community
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with children or adolescents in a counseling or mentoring capacity
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
