OHB is seeking a Youth Advocate in the Reporting program to assist our teenage youth. The Youth Advocates at OHB play a vital role in helping clients develop necessary life skills in the areas of education, health, employment and relationships. Youth Advocates in the Reporting program will be assisting clients to achieve goals while in they are in attendance. Being inside the Reporting program, Youth Advocates are responsible for teaching and guiding clients through daily activities, such as building a resume, completing job applications and assisting with school work while also providing coaching, positive reinforcement and discipline. It is also the responsibility of Youth Advocates to create a positive environment in which clients can learn and excel. Each day you get to help be part of the story for youth working to make a difference and being able to provide a positive environment.
Schedule Available:
Monday through Friday: 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Starting Wage: $16.50 to $17.00 an hour
Shift Differential:
  • Thursdays & Fridays – 3pm to 10pm = $1.50

Required Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ job-related experience, preferably in a client services department, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Must have an understanding of client and their different behaviors.
  • Willing to work flexible hours.
  • Ability to handle stress and exercise self-control.
  • Must have the ability to implement the motivational system in a positive and effective way.
  • Basic knowledge of first aid and safety and be able to obtain CPR certification.
  • Ability to effectively interact with sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences present in the organization’s service population, both individually and in groups.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and current auto insurance, and the ability to pass an extensive background check including drug screen.

Salary : $17 - $17
