POSITION SUMMARY
The HRBP position serves as a strategic partner and provides effective HR operational services and advice to business unit leaders, managers, and staff to support the delivery of the Company objectives and outcomes.
The position serves as a consultant on all HR-related matters, including performance management, capacity building, talent development, and employee relations. The position acts as an employee champion, leadership coach, strategic partner, and change agent.
The HRBP manages and resolves complex employee relations issues, guides on, and assists in performance improvement, and conducts related issues. They work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added services to management and employees that reflect the organization's business objectives.
The position includes skilled input into a broad range of HR policy work, developing and implementing capacity building and tailored training programs, managing complex and varied employee relations cases, and ensuring that HR data and reporting is fit for purpose to inform decision making.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES
Responsible for strategic guidance and coordinating policies and procedures, departmental planning, employee relations, compensation, workforce planning, and organizational structure.
Partners and provides advisement with all levels of management on Human Resources matters.
Acts as liaison between employee and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices, and regulations.
Manages and assists with handling employee relations, counseling, and exit interviews.
Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals.
Recommends innovative approaches, policies, and procedures for effective continued improvement in efficiency of department and services performed.
Supports the maintenance / recording of all personnel transactions through utilization of the ADP Payroll Reporting System.
Maintains Human Resources compliance with federal, state laws; assists in maintaining records for various statistical reports.
Ensuring all new hires paperwork complies with federal & state requirements; to include FAA & ITAR, and any other compliance related requirements per business unit.
Assists employee benefits questions (e.g. medical, dental, vision and life insurance).
Oversees / leads any special project(s) as assigned.
Supports and coordinates employee related functions.
Advise and guide management during termination process.
Education :
BA degree – Desirable : In field of Human Resources, Business Administration or Psychology
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
- Comprehension, understanding and execution of broad practices associated within the field assigned and related fields. Applies these understandings in the completion of complex work assignments.
- Role requires application of advanced skills attained via greater years of experience towards solving complex issues and problems.
- May act as Project Representative from immediate group they are assigned to in the resolution of problems / issues encountered across multiple functions which require a coordinated response.
- HR Legal / Law knowledge (ADA, FMLA, EEOC, FLSA, etc.).
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, & Power Point).
- Strong multi-tasker who is organized and detailed oriented.
