The Regional Student Recruitment Counselor (RC) is primarily responsible for regional recruitment, outreach, public relations, and marketing to meet enrollment goals for their designated region/market. Part of this responsibility is also to provide the civilian and military sectors with relevant information regarding university programs and services

Required Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of a high school diploma
• 1-3 years of related experience

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

• Analytical skills with an in-depth Knowledge of information systems and technical expertise with Microsoft operating systems, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook/email, and Internet end-user applications.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

• Marketing/advertising experience.
• Prior experience in higher education administration, marketing, and/or counseling.
• Aviation experience.

Requirements to be able to drive a university vehicle:

• Must possess and maintain a valid, US driver's license. In some instances, a valid Class C (CDL) license may be required.
• Must meet the University's standards for approved drivers. Unacceptable driving records (as stated in the Use of Equipment and Vehicles Procedure 1.17) include the following (for three years from the date of each occurrence):'
• Three (3) or more at-fault accidents and/or moving violations in the previous 36 months.
• Two (2) or more at-fault accidents or two (2) or more moving violations in the past year.
• Conviction for driving while impaired (DWI, DUI within the last five (5) years).
• Conviction for death by vehicle, hit and run, racing, careless and reckless driving, implied consent in the previous five (5) years.
• Serious violations result in immediate disqualification and revocation of driver privileges. The following are examples of serious violations:Speeding over 15 mph of the posted limit, driving under the Influence of alcohol or drugs, leaving the scene of an accident, reckless or careless driving, Use of vehicle in (drug trafficking, reckless homicide, soliciting), unlawful use of weapons, driving under suspension or revocation, fleeing a police officer, vehicle theft, Improper or illegal lane change, following too close, and passing a stopped school bus while stop sign is engaged.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 45-50 pounds.

• Required Schedule/Availability (all times are EST): Flexibility for hours Monday through Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
