The Visual Production Coordinator plays a key role in producing high-quality printed materials and signage for the Daytona and Prescott campuses. This position requires expertise in various software and equipment to ensure the creation of visually impactful and functional signage and graphics.
- Software and Equipment Operations:
- Utilize Vision Pro software and Adobe Suite programs to create name badges, desk plates, and signage for both campuses.
- Operate the Roland LEF 300 UV printer for printing, and the Boss 3671PF laser for cutting and engraving acrylics and metals.
- Manage the Epson 9600 printer for producing A-frame posters and high-quality photography prints.
- Use VersaWorks software and Adobe Suite to program sheet cuts, adjust oxygen levels for metal cutting, and set laser temperatures for cutting plastics and engraving/etching on materials.
- Signage and Print Setup:
- Produce acrylic and wayfinding signage for the Daytona, WW, and Prescott campuses.
- Set up the Roland printer to print sign arrays and manually assemble each sign to meet design specifications.
- Operate VersaWorks, LightBurn, Onyx, TopJet, and Adobe software to set up print work for the 4' x 8' Fluid Color flatbed printer.
- Ensure quality control by maintaining color balance and density during printing and oversee the maintenance of the print heads and ink systems.
- Utilize the Steel Track cutting system for cutting substrates like foam core, plastics, and metals.
- Vinyl Installation:
- Install light vinyl on various surfaces, including vehicles, walls, golf carts, doors, windows, ground graphics, stadium signs, scoreboard graphics, and other large vinyl projects.
- Operate the Roland VG3 640 printer to produce vinyls and paper for large-format installations and produce stickers and graphics for windows and ground surfaces.
- Laminate vinyl using the Royal Sovereign laminating machine.
- Working Conditions:
- Employee may be required to work overtime as workloads demand.
- The work environment contains fumes from cutting acrylics, metals, and various inks used for printing. Outdoor banner materials and pull-up banner materials emit fumes when ink absorbs into the materials. Some adverse conditions may exist.
Qualifications
- Education & Training:
- Formal diploma, certificate, or degree program of 6-18 months post-high school in Graphic Arts or related field.
- Knowledge of 3M installation and color theory.
- Experience in vinyl installation.
- Adobe certifications are a plus.
- Skills & Experience:
- Proficient in Adobe Suite, VersaWorks, LightBurn, Onyx, TopJet, and Vision Pro software.
- Familiarity with vinyls, laminates, and vinyl installation techniques.
- Operational knowledge of equipment, including:
- Roland LEF 300
- Roland VG-460
- Fluid Color
- RSC 165 Laser Cutter
- Canon 8400 printer
- Experience:
- A minimum of 5-10 years of work-related experience in Graphic Arts, Vinyl, and Print Production.
- At least 5 years of experience in graphic design, layout, vinyl output, and installation.
