Description of Role:
We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager to support our 400,000 square foot facilities in Pleasant Prairie, WI. This position supervises approximately 10 maintenance employees and reports directly to the VP of Maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Direct workers in day-to-day building projects, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
- Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities.
- Spend time on the plant floor in order to supervise personnel and their activities in a hands-on manner.
- Monitor personnel's work levels and review work performance.
- Monitor tool and part inventories and the condition and maintenance of shops to ensure adequate working conditions.
- Practice safe work habits in accordance with OSHA.
- Recommend personnel actions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional groups including Production & Warehousing.
- Showcase flexibility and a "whatever it takes" attitude to get the job done right, including being on-call nights and weekends.
- Handle multiple internal and externally sponsored projects and daily activities, manage to and meet deadlines, and develop & track plans on how to accomplish departmental and distribution goals.
- Strong leadership, motivational and organizational skills.
Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years management experience required.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in all phases of maintenance and repair to include mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and building maintenance, maintenance, and refrigeration.
- Must have computer skills, and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.
- Comprehend schematics, drawings, blueprints.
