SUMMARY
Experienced and highly skilled Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility to preserve the good condition and functionality of premises and equipment. A Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and has attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition and production equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out duties in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, including state, federal and local laws.
- Troubleshoots and repairs all production equipment in industrial/electronic manufacturing setting (including compressors, vacuum pumps, etc.)
- Oversee, perform routine preventative maintenance on production machinery according to PM schedules and instructions.
- Ensure that production equipment is working optimally through preventative maintenance routines
- Implements preventative solutions to address root cause of equipment issues
- Responsibly manages all tools and equipment to maintain clean and organized facilities
- Adheres to and helps reinforce health and safety regulations
- Performs all other duties as assigned
- Flexibility to support off shift support if and when needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Superior Electrical and Mechanical knowledge
- Experience with pneumatic control systems
- Highly skilled in troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Excellent organizational and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with the use of PC's and MS Office Software
- Ability to work as a team and effectively meet with and communicate with inter-department as well as cross-functional colleagues to accomplish tasks
- Capable of working at heights greater than 10 feet
- Proven experience as maintenance technician
- Heavy equipment operation
- Preventative Maintenance
- Experience working with conveyor systems
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and other systems
- PLC troubleshooting and repair
- Welding
- Working knowledge of boilers and maintaining them
- Blue print or technical drawings and documentation interpretation and application
- Equipment fabrication
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
- Plasma cutting
- CNC operations
- Basic carpentry
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Prior work with hydraulic, pneumatic and automated equipment is required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3-5 years of Industrial Maintenance is preferred
- Familiarity with ESD protocols, J-STD-001 criteria, and IPC-610/620 workmanship standards is a plus
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information, reports, and documents. Ability to communicate effectively across multiple site functions and team members. Ability to effectively present information to top management and public groups
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
