Plant Operator Job Description
To ensure safe and correct operation of installed plant equipment and systems that fulfill the contract between the University of New Hampshire and EMCOR Energy Services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follower direction from Lead Operator on Shift.
- Interface with vendors and client regarding plant equipment, repairs, and test procedures.
- Utilize Fuel Management System, including required testing and reporting.
- Maintain knowledge of New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services Title V Operating Permit and ancillary aspects.
- Monitor Plant SCADA for Safe and Efficient Plant Operation.
- Check installed equipment for proper operation and calibration.
- Develop knowledge and skills to operate and maintain installed equipment.
- Assist in troubleshooting, repair, and operation of plant equipment and machinery.
The successful candidate must have a detailed understanding of Combined Heat and Power and Central Utility Plants, including startup, operations, and maintenance of all installed equipment. Additionally, they should possess a high school diploma or equivalent comparable technical education, and/or five years of documented work-related experience.
