What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Mechanical/Plumbing Estimator position at EMCOR?
The Commercial Mechanical/Plumbing Estimator will perform mechanical and/or plumbing system take-off. Compile all costs prior to bid date. Obtain sub-contractor and vendor quotes to develop a competitive bid. Studying detailed plans and specifications.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze project documents to prepare time, cost and labor estimates for products, projects, or services
- Conceptual HVAC/Sheet Metal/Piping/Plumbing budgeting and preliminary design
- Perform HVAC/Sheet Metal/Piping/Plumbing take-offs (multi disciple preferred, but please apply if specialized)
- Develop project budgets
- Prepare proposals and estimates for large commercial/institutional/industrial HVAC/Piping/Plumbing specific projects
- Study and interpret contract documents, specifications. plans or sketches
- Assist Project Management with change order preparation
