What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controls Technician position at EMCOR?
Job Summary:
ESB is planning to train and develop HVAC controls service engineers. This position includes programming, service, and installation.
Development Commitment:
- Company paid factory and on-the-job training.
- Candidates must be self-motivated to develop skills on their own through OEM technical literature and on-line classes.
- Experience in hands-on troubleshooting and mechanical/electrical aptitude a plus.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Program and Validate Complex DDC Systems: Develop, test, and ensure the proper functioning of Direct
- Respond to Controls Service Calls: Address and resolve service calls related to control systems as required
- Diagnose and Repair Electronic Control System Malfunctions: Utilize extensive knowledge of various
modifications to restore functionality.
- Support Estimation and Project Coordination: Assist in the estimation of service work and contribute to
- Client and Staff Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with clients and internal
- Adhere to Corporate Policies: Follow company policies regarding safety, work ethics, and time
- Project Planning: Proactively plan and organize project tasks to maximize productivity and efficiency on
Required:
- Successful completion of a DMV and background check (company vehicle and gas card provided).
- Passing a drug screening.
- OSHA 10 certification.
- Experience in HVAC, electrical, and/or plumbing is highly desirable.

Compensation Range: $40.87/hour or higher depending on experience
