Job Title: Mechanical Project Manager

Job Summary:
This position will work with our nationally recognized Design-Build team coordinating designs, estimates and ultimate construction of food manufacturing facilities constructed across the United States. Qualified candidates will act as site lead and primary customer contact on site for projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working closely with clients, outside design consultants and internal engineers to proactively implement procurement, scheduling, permitting, construction and commissioning for multi-division projects
- Facilitate meetings between owners, design team and operations
- Assist management with the identification, prequalification and bidding of scopes of work, as needed
- Ensuring appropriate construction materials are incorporated into projects and conduct review of subcontractor/vendor shop drawings to ensure design intent is met
- Providing field input to other members on the D/B team
- Monitoring and inspecting work undertaken by subcontractors and/or our own trades to ensure timeliness of completion and quality is met
- Coordinating change management to ensure that changes in scope are appropriately tracked, funded and implemented.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Engr, Architecture, Construction Management or equivalent experience (essential)
- 10 years of work experience in design and/or project management (essential)
- Experience in the design and construction of industrial, food manufacturing and/or cold box (refrigerated) facilities (essential)
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials and codes
- Good communications skills and ability to liaise with Owners, design professionals, trade supervision and subcontractors, and visit remote sites
- Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills, good organization and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to travel as necessary
- Computer skills (i.e., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, BlueBeam, Navis, etc.)
- Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required
