A Medical Manufacturing Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing and maintaining inventory levels for a medical manufacturing facility. Ensure that raw materials, components, and finished products are properly tracked, stored, and distributed to meet production demands while complying with industry regulations and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished medical products.
- Perform regular cycle counts and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Coordinate with suppliers, procurement teams, and production managers to optimize stock levels.
- Ensure inventory processes comply with FDA, ISO, and other regulatory standards.
- Use inventory management software (e.g. Fishbowl) to track and update inventory movements.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in stock levels.
- Support production planning by ensuring materials are available when needed.
- Manage incoming shipments, inspect materials for quality compliance, and document receipts.
- Collaborate with warehouse, clean room and logistics teams for efficient material storage and distribution.
- Generate inventory reports for management, accounting and regulatory compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in inventory management, preferably in a medical or regulated manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with medical manufacturing regulations (FDA, GMP, ISO 13485)..
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required.
