What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Resource Associate position at EMERALD CARPETS?
Responsibilities for the Waste and Sustainability Operator job include:
- Run baler machine to compress and bind cardboard.
- Maintain the work area, keep equipment in a clean and orderly condition, and follow prescribed safety regulations.
- Break down cardboard for recycling.
- Open chamber doors and remove bales. Glasses, sleeves, gloves, and safety vest required.
- Set up, operate, and perform basic adjustments to the equipment per the individual job requirements, operating characteristics, and capabilities of the equipment.
Qualifications
Qualifications for the Waste and Sustainability Machine Operator Job:
- Required to stand for long periods of time.
- May involve some repetitive motions - bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of parts and part containers.
- Must be able to frequently lift 50 lbs.
- Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity, and cold.
- Must have ability to read and write instructions.
- 6 months to 1 year LTO experience including Pole lift
