Job Overview:
Join our team as a Laboratory Lead, also known as an Operations Team Lead, within our Operations department. You will provide critical on-site technical assistance to ensure that automated lab experiments are conducted efficiently and on schedule. Working under the guidance of the Shift Manager, your role will involve leading and mentoring a team of 15-25, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
This role is highly dynamic and requires excellent problem-solving skills, superior management abilities, and a strong aptitude for troubleshooting. Successful candidates will fully immerse themselves in all aspects of our lab’s operations, from understanding the detailed processes to mastering the technology that powers our remote experiments.
As an Operations Team Lead, you will play an essential role in spearheading continuous improvement efforts, addressing any logistical challenges, enhancing team member productivity, and implementing data-driven solutions to operational hurdles.
You are likely a good fit for this role if you:
- Have a minimum of 2 years of leadership experience with a proven track record of enhancing team productivity and quality.
- Possess at least 3 years of working background in environments regulated by Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or within the life sciences sector.
- Are adept at employing systematic troubleshooting methods to solve complex issues.
- Show a keen interest in and capacity for learning software programming, regardless of previous experience, though previous experience is a welcome bonus!
- Are familiar with and can apply key industry methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
- Enjoy the challenge and pace of a startup environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Annual Salary: $60,000 to $65,000, based on experience.
- Work Schedules: Options include Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday.
- Shift Availability: Day and Evening options.
