Waste Coordinator - Waste Management
Emerald Environmental is looking for a full-time Waste Coordinator in Kent, OH. In this position, you will play an important role in the company’s waste handling/transportation operation.
Drum Processing/Waste Management Responsibilities:
- Perform work in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations and Company policy
- Manage facility operation for waste management
- Load and unload waste materials including drums, tankers, and roll-off boxes
- Maintain sufficient supply inventory/order materials as needed
- Maintain facility and yard in a safe and organized manner
- Perform other duties as directed by Waste Manager and Ohio Operations Manager
What is required?
- High School education (2 or 4-year degree a plus)
- Experience working with industrial waste (haz/non-haz)
- Experience working in the industrial/environmental services industry is preferred
- Valid CDL is ideal
- The ability to perform basic physical tasks including lifting moderate loads and using equipment such as dollies to move heavier equipment
- The ability to use basic applications on smartphones and tablets
- Proficiency in basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Email
