What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping Quality Assurance Inspector - Full Time position at Emerald Isle Realty?
Job Position: Housekeeping Quality Assurance Inspector – Full Time
Department: Housekeeping
Reports to: Executive Director of Housekeeping
Job Overview and Requirements:
- We are a hospitality-first company and team, and we strive to bring hospitality, grace, and teamwork into each aspect of our day.
- Our QA inspectors work closely with professional housekeepers and other QA inspectors to ensure each property meets or exceeds Emerald Isle Realty Standards for cleanliness and appearance. This is a very important position that takes great communication skills, and the ability to see things from different perspectives, including the perspectives of housekeepers, our rental guests, and the homeowners of our properties.
- Our QA inspectors, as well as all Emerald Isle Realty employees, work to build and maintain positive relationships with everyone we work with – fellow team members, professional housekeepers, guests, owners, etc. - through excellent communication, professionalism, and a hospitality-first mindset.
- Our QA inspectors are the eyes and ears of the properties they inspect. You’ll report items that need attention in our properties to our Maintenance and Housekeeping departments. When you meet guests or homeowners, you’ll report to corresponding departments on anything they need further assistance with, or even things we can do to go above and beyond to make their day or their stay better.
- You will also be responsible for replacing certain household items as needed. Things like mattress pads, pillow protectors, light bulbs, etc. take a lot of wear and tear in a vacation home and our QA inspectors keep a provided stock of items with them to replace as needed.
- Ensure that each rental property is completely secured upon leaving the property.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and policies.
- This schedule for this position is Wednesday - Sunday each week, with Mondays and Tuesdays off each week.
The hours are typically 8:30am – 5:00pm with overtime as needed based on work load, with two exceptions:
1) On weekends from Memorial Day through September we work from 8:00am until 6:00pm.
2) On Wednesday evenings, all full-time inspectors work together to clean our office from 5:00pm until approximately 5:45 – 6:00pm.
Skills and Abilities That Will Be Invaluable to This Position
- The ability to communicate effectively and clearly, both verbally and in written communication.
- The ability to be a strong team player and work cohesively with others – professional housekeepers, other QA inspectors, office staff, homeowners, guests, and everyone else you meet and work with in this position.
- The ability to maintain a professional, courteous, and hospitality-first demeanor at all times. This is a fast-paced job that involves working with many different types of personalities, and a calm, professional, and kind mindset will take you far.
- Proactive, and self-motivated. This position includes a large amount of time working on your own, making these skills very important.
- Highly organized, and able to prioritize various tasks.
- Technology literate.
- Dependability is paramount. We want you to be able to depend on us for help, growth, and success, and we ask for your dependability in return.
