Description
The General Marketing Assistant I helps plan, execute, and support engaging events while managing promotional materials and communications. This role involves collaborating with community partners, coordinating logistics across departments, and ensuring the seamless delivery of marketing initiatives.
Pay begins at $24.09 and increases to $26.61 upon successful completion of 90-day orientation period. This full-time position features excellent employer-paid medical, dental, vision and life insurance benefits.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
- One year of marketing experience required
- One year of promotions experience preferred
- Casino and retail experience preferred
- Additional related experience of education may substitute for the minimum requirements
SKILLS and COMPETENCIES:
- Knowledge of: Marketing best practices, casino event coordination, promotional activities, signage standards and placement, casino operations, and policies
- Skills in: Personal computer software, multi-line phone systems, customer service, communication, recordkeeping, and strong organizational abilities
- Ability to: Print and distribute marketing materials (posters, banners, etc.), organize tasks and prioritize workflow, multitask efficiently, communicate effectively, work across various casino sites and departments
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Assists with printing, finishing, and placement of marketing signage
2. Assist with planning, sets-up, and execution of marketing events
3. Assists in coordinating with event representatives to determine schedule, facility requirements, set up, promotional needs, special requirements, and other items necessary for the event
4. Conducts presentations regarding promotional activities and scheduled events
5. Presents written communications for promotional activities or scheduled events
6. Assists in coordinating event activities with other casino departments to ensure all event necessities are completed in a timely manner
7. Distributes the monthly event calendars to community hotels and local chambers of commerce
8. Maintains a record of internal signage detailing locations and expiration dates
9. Prints and constructs internal and external banners and set designs and distributes final products to various locations
10. Assists in creating and maintaining relationships with community senior centers and distributes casino information to senior center partners
11. Schedules group tours with senior centers
12. Performs other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time; use of hand, eye, and finger dexterity; working in poorly lit locations and around loud noises during scheduled events; lifting, bending, carrying, stooping, walking, pushing or moving supplies, materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds is required. The work is performed inside at various casino venues; at off- site facilities; and is subject to a smoke-filled environment.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to work all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidays
Must be able to pass a pre-employment illegal drug screen and obtain a Class IIIA license as required by the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and the Washington State Gaming Commission.
