Emerald Queen Casino is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Web Designer to join our growing team. This role is integral to ensuring our website remains an engaging, user-friendly, and high-performing platform that reflects the excellence of our brand. As a Web Designer, you will have the opportunity to bring innovative design concepts to life while maintaining and enhancing the functionality and security of our website across desktop and mobile platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

Website Development : Design and build new webpages and landing pages to captivate audiences across desktop and mobile devices
Infrastructure Management : Plan, design, create, and maintain the technical infrastructure necessary for seamless internet access and web hosting services
User Interface Design : Develop intuitive site layouts and interfaces using modern design principles, technologies, and industry best practices
Performance Analysis : Analyze guest behavior, usage patterns, and conversion rates, and recommend actionable strategies to optimize website performance
Requirement Gathering : Conduct research and gather technical and creative specifications to align website functionality with company goals
Collaborative Projects : Work closely with internal teams, departments, and vendors to enhance website functionality and user experience
Quality Standards : Ensure the website adheres to organizational standards for both content and performance
Security Oversight : Maintain website security protocols and troubleshoot system-related issues to ensure a secure and reliable platform
Testing & Maintenance : Conduct periodic testing to verify proper website functionality and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance

Minimum Requirements :

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required or related technical training in Windows, POS systems, telephone systems, Video / Audio systems, and computer design

Minimum of five years of experience in user design, interface, and interaction / application design

Casino and / or hospitality industry experience preferred

Additional education or related experience may substitute for the minimum requirements of the position

Competencies :

Proficiency in web technologies, including PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and user-centered design principles, with expertise in usability standards, digital typography, and content management

Skilled in project management, mobile design, photo editing, debugging, testing, and optimization

Capable of organizing website content, adapting to technical constraints, and effectively communicating both orally and in writing

Demonstrates strong multitasking abilities, analytical skills for reporting and recommendations, and a collaborative approach to working with diverse teams while taking initiative in project execution

Physical Requirements :

This position is required to sit for extended lengths of time. Manual and finger dexterity are required for operation of personal computer

The work is performed in an office environment and is subject to an occasional exposure of a smoke filled environment

Additional Requirements :

Must be able to work all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidays

Must be able to pass a pre-employment illegal drug screen and obtain a Class IIIA license as required by the Puyallup Tribal Gaming Regulatory Office and the Washington State Gaming Commission.
