Position Summary :
The eCommerce Product Manager is a pivotal role operating across multiple business units, serving as the focal point for the development, management, and optimization of the organization's eCommerce, website, and portal capabilities. This role plays a critical part in enhancing the organization's online presence, user experience, and functionality of digital platforms to meet business goals, engage users, and drive conversions. Strong technical acumen, cross-functional collaboration, and prioritization are essential for ensuring the effective operation and continuous improvement of these platforms.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
- Partner with the sales and marketing organizations to develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for the organization's websites and portals aligned with business objectives, customer personas, customer journeys, and conversion objectives.
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of the company's eCommerce, websites, and portals, ensuring they reflect the brand identity and adhere to best practices in web design and user experience.
- Oversee content creation, publication, and optimization for websites and portals, maintaining up-to-date, accurate, and engaging content.
- Create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces, optimizing the user journey and overall experience.
- Implement search engine optimization (SEO) best practices and analyze website traffic and user behavior to make data-driven decisions for improvements.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to website and portal performance, proposing and implementing optimizations as needed.
- Ensure the security of websites and portals, including data protection and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with marketing content teams, IT, and other departments to align website and portal activities with organizational goals / priorities and ensure effective communication of updates and changes.
- Manage the budget for website and portal-related expenses, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Address and resolve technical issues and bugs, coordinating with IT, content owners, and 3rd party support teams as necessary.
- Utilize data analytics tools and techniques to derive insights from product information, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.
- Develop and deliver training for system end-users (customers, channel partners, sales), internal content providers users (CMS), and other stakeholders.
- Gather feedback from various sources, including customers and internal teams, to continuously improve product information content and processes.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors or agencies involved in content creation, data management, credit card processing, and / or system support as needed.
