Overview
As a Procurement Specialist , you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials necessary for our production schedules. Your primary responsibility will be to manage vendor relationships and execute purchase orders, contributing to the smooth flow of our operations. This role demands a proactive individual who can effectively manage multiple tasks, analyze data, and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Review purchase requests for necessity, accuracy, and optimal quantity, including material footage calculations
- Create and edit purchase orders (POs) with meticulous attention to detail
- Actively track open purchases, providing timely updates on schedule, cost, and scope deviations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date cost information for materials, coatings, job outs, and other purchases
- Proactively gather and update vendor cost data
- Establish, cultivate, and manage strong relationships with vendors
- Negotiate pricing and terms to secure favorable agreements
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality
- Effectively escalate and resolve vendor-related issues
- Vendor setup and planning
- Utilization of the Cadence operating system
- 50% of your time in planning related activities
Qualifications and Skills
Schedule : Monday - Friday (8 : 00AM - 5 : 00PM)
Compensation : $26.00 - $30.00 Hourly
