Job Overview:
We are seeking a Program Coordinator to manage the day-to-day operations of a Recovery Residency, providing direct support to residents and ensuring the smooth delivery of recovery programs. The Coordinator will work closely with staff, overseeing program schedules, assisting with individualized recovery plans, and fostering a positive, structured environment for long-term recovery. Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Operations Management: Oversee the daily activities of the recovery program, ensuring services align with the residence’s mission.
- Program Coordination: Develop, manage, and implement program schedules, including group counseling, life skills workshops, and other recovery-focused activities.
- Resident Support: Facilitate resident intake and orientation, assist with individual recovery plans, and provide ongoing support.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise program staff, coordinate staff schedules, and provide training on program policies and crisis management.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with Case Managers, Clinical Staff, and the Program Manager to ensure individualized plans are being followed. Act as the point of contact for external partners and community organizations.
- Crisis Management: Address day-to-day issues, respond to crises, and ensure the safety of residents, escalating serious concerns to the Program Manager.
- Program Improvement: Identify areas for program enhancement and implement feedback from residents, staff, and stakeholders.
- Resident Transportation: Provide transportation for residents when needed.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in addiction recovery or counseling (e.g., CADC) is a plus.
- Adult Peer Support Specialist certification or eligibility preferred.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in program coordination or management in a recovery residence, mental health facility, or substance abuse treatment setting.
- Required: Experience working with individuals in recovery or substance use disorders.
- If in recovery, two (2) years of continuous sobriety is required.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to engage with diverse populations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and client management software.
- Strong problem-solving and crisis management skills.
- Leadership by example and ability to foster a collaborative, high-morale team environment.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Flexible availability to work evenings or weekends as needed.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for the past 2-5 years.
- Knowledge of 12-step programs and experience working with a sponsor is required.
