The School of Sciences invites applications for Associate Dean, to begin June 1, 2025. The primary role of the associate dean in the School of Sciences will be to work with the dean to support the school and replace the dean when the dean is absent.

Applicants must be a current, tenured faculty member in the School of Sciences.
One of eight campuses of Indiana University, Indiana University Kokomo is a comprehensive non-residential campus located 50 miles north of Indianapolis in Kokomo, Indiana, a city with a population of about 50,000. Additional Qualifications
The primary role of the associate dean in the School of Sciences will be to work with the dean to support the school and replace the dean when the dean is absent. While specific duties may change with time in agreement with the dean, the associate dean will have the following responsibilities:
- Act as dean for the school in instances when the dean is unavailable.
- Coordinate assessment activities for the school.
- Coordinate KEY activities for the school.
- Coordinate outreach activities for the school.
- Assist the dean in evaluation of full-time and adjunct faculty.
- Assist personnel in the school with recruitment and retention efforts.
- Direct the General Studies degree program.
- If the person filling the role of associate dean has a background in the natural sciences, the associate dean may also serve as coordinator for natural sciences.
- Other reasonable duties and initiatives as assigned in coordination with the dean.
