Visiting Lecturer in Qualitative Methodology

The Qualitative and Quantitative Research Methodology (QQRM) program invites applications for a Visiting Lecturer of Qualitative Methodology. This will be a full-time, non-tenure track, 10-month appointment (beginning 08/1/2025) in the Department of Applied Psychology in Education and Research Methodology within the School of Education at Indiana University Bloomington (IUB). This appointment is for one year with the possibility of renewal for a second year.

Position Description:

We are seeking a candidate who can contribute to our methodology program, with expertise in qualitative method/ologies. At IUB, there is a longstanding and highly active qualitative research community that includes both graduate students (PhD, Master’s, and certificate) and faculty from a range of disciplines. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in qualitative method/ology and a commitment to high-quality qualitative pedagogy.

Principal Duties/Responsibilities:

• Mentor and advise certificate and QQRM Master’s students studying qualitative method/ologies.

The QQRM PhD and M.S.Ed. program (formerly called Inquiry Methodology) at Indiana University, Bloomington began in 2009. Our program has long been dedicated to the advancement of social and behavioral research by critically evaluating, improving, and developing methodological theory and methods so that phenomena of interest can be more soundly investigated and better understood.
