As the Hospital Administrator, you will be responsible for the overall operational management of the Emergency Veterinary Clinic of Niceville, working in collaboration with the veterinary and management teams to ensure the highest quality of care and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Management : Oversee the daily operations of the emergency veterinary hospital, ensuring that services run smoothly and efficiently. Lead a diverse team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment focused on patient care, client satisfaction, and staff development.
  • Team Development & Training : Support and mentor the team, including veterinary technicians, receptionists, and support staff. Provide training on advanced veterinary technician skills (e.g., anesthesia monitoring, surgery prep, and post-operative care). Help foster a culture of learning, providing consistent feedback, coaching, and leadership to ensure high performance.
  • Financial Oversight : Manage budgets, financial goals, and cost controls, ensuring that the clinic operates within its financial parameters while maintaining high-quality care. Analyze clinic financial data and identify opportunities for cost-saving improvements.
  • Client Care & Communication : Ensure excellent client service and communication across the hospital. Be actively involved in addressing client concerns and feedback, creating solutions, and maintaining a high level of satisfaction.
  • Quality Control & Compliance : Oversee the clinic’s adherence to safety, quality control standards, and compliance with veterinary and state regulations. Ensure that all protocols are followed and that the clinic operates in a safe and ethical manner.
  • Human Resource Management : Lead recruiting efforts, hiring, and onboarding of staff. Foster a positive work culture that aligns with Innovetive Petcare's values, with a focus on teamwork, employee well-being, and work-life balance.
  • Operational Excellence : Manage hospital scheduling, inventory, and workflow optimization to ensure timely patient care and smooth hospital operations.
  • Multi-Unit Management (if applicable) : As a part of a multi-unit organization, collaborate with other hospital leaders and the Innovetive Petcare corporate team to implement best practices and promote operational consistency across locations.
  • Job Requirements

  • 5 years of veterinary experience preferred, with at least 2-3 years of leadership experience in a veterinary or healthcare setting.
  • Experience in emergency or specialty practice (SP / ER) strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in veterinary technician skills with advanced proficiency in areas such as anesthesia monitoring, surgery assistance, IV catheter placement, diagnostic imaging, patient care during critical care situations, and emergency procedures .
  • Proven experience in managing staff, fostering teamwork, and handling complex operational challenges.
  • Education & Certification :

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred; CVPM (Certified Veterinary Practice Manager) is ideal.
  • Veterinary Technician background required with strong hands-on clinical experience. You must have the ability to train and mentor staff in advanced veterinary technician skills.
  • Completion of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program and licensure (if applicable) preferred.
