Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:00pm-10:00pm
Pay Rate: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
EmeritusDX is looking for an Accessioning Technician responsible for the pre-analytical process within the laboratory which includes specimen receiving, sorting, and specimen bag opening. The Accessioning Tech is responsible for manually entering sample information into the Laboratory Information Management System, scanning documents, and labeling specimens. The role also includes quality control review to ensure data entry is accurate. When primary Accessioning tasks are completed, the position also assists the laboratory with lab assistant functions.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Receiving and opening of packages received from FedEx
- Accurately enters/types data into the Laboratory Information System
- Identifies missing or discrepant information and questionable specimen integrity
- Properly and accurately prints labels with corresponding electronically assigned cases identifier to specimen vials.
- Maintains universal precautions during all aspects of processing.
- Ensures compliance with all local federal CLIA and CAP regulations
- Ensure HIPAA and patient confidentiality compliance in the laboratory
- Organize and maintain working areas
- Other duties as assigned.

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Experience Level:
- Previous experience in a laboratory desirable but not required.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced production environment where the work is repetitive is highly desirable.
- High School Diploma required
