You will have accountability for growing order bookings, driving strong customer relationships, and bringing strategic input and direction to the business across the United States, Canada, Mexico and Latin America. To be successful in this position, you must be committed to growing the opportunity funnel/order intake, acquiring new customers, providing a reliable orders forecast, and governing key critical metrics across the team, as well as actively mentoring and developing the team to improve the customer reach within the Americas.
As the Director of Sales, you will:
- Drive orders growth across the Americas world area, by influencing and leading a team of regional sales managers, territory sales engineers, segment sales managers, application engineers, and 3rd party representative agents.
- Ensure we are capturing above-market, profitable growth with a driven focus on penetration programs and price realization.
- Be accountable for the forecast orders performance for the month, quarter and year based on CRM opportunity funnel, run rates, and team feedback.
- Bring a strategic and creative mindset to pursue new business models, engagement mechanisms, and pursue new ideas to support the pursuit of growth for the business.
- Lead forecasting calls, funnel reviews and efficiency sessions with the teams to gain business insight and provide ample mentor to the team.
- Direct critical relevant metrics and provide regular feedback across the wider sales team, including funnel expansion, opportunity close rate, sales stage, quote rate, number of customer activities, lead conversion rate, dollars tied to new accounts, etc.
- Establish annual growth targets for team based on prior year performance and expectations for year, in-concert with Branson Americas plan.
- Monitor competitor activity, displace competition at target accounts, and grow market participation.
- Provide regular mentoring and training to team members to develop a highly effective sales organization which is passionate about application development, value-selling, prospecting, opportunity pursuit and closing with customer verifiable outcomes.
- Through the above, drive a positive customer engagement trend documented by feedback through surveys, customer advisory boards, workshops, and other mechanisms.

Required Education, Experience & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, engineering, or equivalent.
- Relevant sales leadership/management experience commensurate with the level of the position.
- Technical knowledge in electrical or mechanical industries.
- Willing to travel >50% of the time.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.
Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:
- MBA or other advanced degree a plus.
- Sales management experience preferably in a business-to-business environment and in the industrial/manufacturing market.
- Knowledge of material joining solutions in manufacturing.
- Experience leading and developing large teams, with multiple layers, in a matrix environment.
- Experience selling products/solutions that are typically capital expenditures.
- Experience with Medical, Electronics, Packaging, and Automotive markets.
