Job Summary
Supports the medical staff credentials process to include appointments, reappointments and administrative support to the Credentials Committee. Maintains an efficient and highly organized environment, exercising independent judgment, strict confidentiality, discretion, and responsiveness at all times. Also responsible for supporting the Director of Medical Education by assisting in the coordination of the Medical Education Program.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Experience
- Minimum of two years experience in the credentialing functio for a health care facility preferred.
- Licensure and/or Certification
- Certification from the National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) as either Certified Professional Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional for Medical Services Management (CPMSM) preferred.
- Skills
- Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
