We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bilingual Site Safety & Quality Control Specialist to oversee safety and quality control measures on our construction projects. This role will ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and client requirements while fostering a culture of safety and quality across the job site.
Key Responsibilities :
Safety Compliance & Oversight
Enforce OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations on job sites.
Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate hazards.
Develop and implement site-specific safety plans and risk assessments.
Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions for site personnel.
Investigate and document safety incidents, near-misses, and provide corrective actions.
Ensure all employees and subcontractors adhere to safety protocols and PPE requirements.
Quality Control & Assurance
Inspect work at various project phases to ensure compliance with engineering standards, project specifications, and industry best practices.
Identify and document non-conformance issues and coordinate corrective measures.
Conduct material testing and verify compliance with project requirements.
Maintain accurate records of quality control reports, checklists, and project documentation.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project deliverables meet quality expectations.
Bilingual Communication & Documentation
Serve as a liaison between English- and [Second Language]-speaking workers, ensuring clear communication of safety and quality procedures.
Translate safety materials, training documents, and quality control reports as needed.
Assist in conflict resolution and cultural awareness to foster a collaborative work environment.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, related field or equivalent professional experience
Minimum 4 years of experience in construction safety, quality control, or a related role.
7-8 years in the Construction Industry is highly preferred
Experience in Overhead, Electrical transmission, Electrical, Utility construction, High Voltage Electrical Safety, Transmission & Distribution Systems , Utility Pole Safety, or similar area
Bilingual proficiency in English & Spanish
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety best practices, and construction quality standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to lead safety and quality initiatives in a fast-paced construction environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams
Certifications (Preferred not required) :
OSHA 30 or OSHA 500 Certification (preferred)
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) (preferred)
ACI, AWS, or other relevant Quality Control certifications (preferred)
